1948-1950 The River Nene, Grand Union Canal, and Thames Estuary

These 5 articles about boating in the late 1940's were part of a series of some 50 "Recollections" that were originally printed in the monthly newsletter of the United Reform Church, Hadleigh, Essex from 1988 onwards. They were the memories of a wonderful old lady called Marjorie Chase who was a friend of my late mother, and who has recently given me her permission to have them reprinted. I have published them here exactly as she wrote them.
